rear shock with external reservoir

Where do I mount the external reservoir?

It came with 2 radiator style hose clamps about 2" in diameter and some zip ties. It also came with 2 identical rubber pieces. One side has the curvature of the reservoir the other side has the curvature of a 5/8" pipe or so.

Any input or advice would be appreciated.

How about using the 2 rubber pieces and one hose clamp and securing it to the left side rear foot peg bracket just to the inside of the peg. Keep in mind the chain guard must be on so the chain and hose do not come in contact.
Awesome thanks it works
Typically remote reservoirs are anchored to sub-frame structures in the area near the shock assembly...

Is this not an option for you...?

I don't think I could without adding a bracket or doing some cutting. Also the hose on it is quite long. I'll post a pic tonight before work (night shift). I'm delirious and hitting the hay.

Is this kosher? The hose is quite stiff and won't move around. Maybe someone local could teach me how to set it up correctly? Or maybe give me some better mounting tips? Thanks!

Looks good! Now I know where to mount my NOS bottle.
That way looks good. The way Chris mounted it kinda looks like it should be a NOS bottle. The other way looks like they used the zip ties to hold the reservoir and the hose in place on the rear peg mounting bracket.
I originally tryed mounting it in the location of the ohlins picture but it didn't seem like the rubber pieces sat correctly. hmm think ill try it again since thats what ohlins had in mind. And that will open up space for a NOS bottle on each side!
NOS bottle look is gonna stay. Provided hose clamps and zip ties are not long enough to fit as pictured in the Ohlins brochure. The reservoir is a hair away from the paint on the tail and the adjustment knob a hair away from the peg bracket. Plus it brings the hose closer to the rear wheel.
Question on setting Preload. When measuring free sag the bike must be on a jack to achieve an unloaded suspension? So a rear spool stand wont work. Am I correct?
If this is a gas charged system do not loosen these fittings...:nono

Just a note Chris.. I believe you should be able to loosen the banjo bolts slightly in order to reposition the hose fittings on the reservoir and shock assembly... These should only fluid transfer lines like your brake lines...

This might offer you some more installation adjustment options and line clearance...
^ it's a nitrogen system
I pulled up to a stop light yesterday and some dudes in a civic were pointing at it sying " Daamn NOS!" :lmfao
