Engine and rim swap

Hi guys I have done a search on the forum and have found answers in parts to my next question

question is I have bought my son a 2012 250r and it needs a little work to get it up and running for when he gets his learners later this year but using the time to build up and show how a bike goes together and what needs to be looked at when owning a bike.
I have just bought a later model 2013 300 and it has abs and if obviously fuel injected and was wanting to know can I change the front and tear ends over without running the abs?
Also if I choose to run the engine will this just be a swap of all the erunning gear and motor or is it a little more involved?
