So bike won't start. It'll crank up and start but when I try to turn the choke up it runs for a second then dies out. Read here that I needed to drain the float bowls in the carb so i hooked up a hose to the float drain, turned the tap, and out comes the gas. It looked slightly green but what boggled me was the amount of fuel that came out, it was about a gallon. From what I've read on here, thats not normal.

Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

Seems like a lot that's draining out! What position is your fuel valve in? If it's in prime that could be the problem. I only use the prime position to drain the tank or when I fill the carbs after storage(I drain my carbs for winter storage). I just turn it to prime for about 10 seconds before cranking. Then turn it to the "on" position then engage the choke and start cranking. After about 3-5 minutes I turn the choke off and let it idle on its own.
