ebsbyers well im pretty convinced in getting one like i said i probably will never need to go more then like 65 or 75 if i do go on the freeway and it can handle itself very well at those speeds was just curious because everyone ive seen that had a 250 sold it months or a year later wanted to see if it was how it was for everybody or those people just want more speed. Thank for your help i appreciate it xD

Nope. Probably never will. For me, it's not about the power or size, it's about the ride.

Off and on for 30+ years, I've ridden bigger bikes and yes they are great, but I have an appreciation of this small bike that can go as fast and as far as I need it. It puts a smile on your face when you know it's out on the road "doing what it do". Everybody has a level in which their thrill button is pushed, some higher, some lower. Everyone decides on where his/hers is.

Most younger riders will never have that level of appreciation for making a small bike go fast. I've know and seen old & young men setting land speed records (121.8 mph on a Ninja 250) on small displacement bikes and have a blast doing it.

ebsbyers wow that is awesome and you never felt bored of it? Most riding i will be doing is under 65mph i just feel like if i get into highway commuting ill want bigger but i hope i wont need to i really like the looks and how light it would be compared to a 600

Bought my new in 2009 with zero miles. It now has 24,602 miles on it. I ride it year 'round and many trips. Other than a few scratches, it still runs as good as ever and looks good doing it. Can keep up with anybody (running under 95+mph) and out pace most interstate traffic.

Just a few mods; Smoke DB windscreen, FIAMM Low tone horn, Rear fender chop, Smoked Turn Signals, engine oil cooler, Hurricane Performance Filter, Snorkel delete w/shimmed needles, Iridium Plugs, 140/70/17 rear tire, 120/70/17 front tire, 15/41 sprockets, brake light modulator, Hi/Low Phillips Motovision headlamps, Custom Seats, Tank Bra, Adjustable Levers, Kawasaki decals on lower fairing, polished bar ends & 12v outlet

ebsbyers well thanks once I sell my xt I'm prob gonna go for a lime green one xD. It seems like it'll do just fine for what I'm gonna need it for. I am curious if there's anyone who bought one new in like 2008 and still has it id be curious so seem if they still find it as fun as they did when they first got it.

I wondered the same when I bought it. Being such a small light bike you would think you'd get blown around on the highway from trucks and stuff, it actually handles quiet nice. Had a gell pad put in the seat and getting bar risers to make it more comfortable for long trips.

Ive considered an f4i since they're close to the same price however ninja 250 insurance will run $200 for me and the f4i would be about $370 and not to mention how much better the ninja would be on fuel.
My first bike was a Ninja 500, than I wanted to try a cruiser. I traded in for a Honda Shadow Sabre 1100. Had it for a year, missed my ninja, sold the shadow and bought a 250. Lol.
I really like the f4i. Comfortable bike. Hondas run forever.
