Carburetor needed

The carburetor is gunked up in my 250R. When the choke is on and the bike is on, the bike will kick over and the bike will hold in idle. The minute I give it gas, the bike dies. And when I let off the choke, the bike dies. I picked up a bottle of “castrol syntax power system” and followed the instructions – no luck. Can anyone show me how to clean my carburetors before I take it into the local Kawasaki dealer? Or have you tried another method on your carburetor and it worked?

Yes, you too can clean your carburetor(s). Get yourself a gallon of parts cleaner from the auto-parts store. Take photos from every angle at each step of removal and disassembly.
Soak the carb' body for a few hours; remove from the parts solvent; rinse off. Then blow out every passage in the body with your air compressor. Install the carb' re-build kit you previously purchased from the Kawasaki dealer as you re-assemble with attention to those photos you took. Trust me; take it to your favorite PROFESSIONAL mechanic! Carb's ain't for kids! On the other hand, it doesn't cost more to bring all the pieces to your mechanic.
