Question Gearing for MPGs

What would be the best gear combo for MPG and would I need to get a new chain to fit?My bike is new to me its a 2008 with around 2200 miles on it I have put 400 or so miles on it,And I got 50 the first time and 59 the secound I think its getting better as I get used to the bike.

Im in it for the MPGs

stock is prolly the best for MPG.

The right wrist is the best way to manage MPG.

If you do a lot of freeway then taller is better. Some people take it to 15/42.

Every tooth equals a chain link. Usually both sprockets and chain are replaced at the same time. Not adjusting links accordingly will lengthen or shorten the wheelbase changing the riding characteristics of the bike. Could you get away with it anyway? Yes

Thanks minchris I know you have talked to me about this on another thread but the other thread was about 2 things at the same time so I spilt them up to get better info on them both thanks man
