Removing Bar Ends?

Does anybody know how to remove the bar ends from 08+ models?

I heard that kawi puts loctite on the screws...

i broke a screw bit trying to take it off.

Two fingers, one love.

If Kawi really does use loctite on the ninja 250 bars, then you should use a real screwdriver and not a bit. It would be better if it had a 90-degree bend to it, then you could give it a good whack as you try and loosen it. A sudden impact is better at getting tight screws out than a constant force.

apply heat (i.e. soldering iron) to the bar end to loosen the loctite

What he said. I don't know why manufacturers love red loctite so much.

Hello, I actually was trying to get mine off today too. Didnt break nothing in the process but would a mini blow torch be ok? Like the handheld ones with the tank or is that too much? Dont know anyone with a soldering iron. Thanks!

^ I don't see why not. Be careful of melting the grips

i ended up buying a propane torch with a needle bit. makes the flame real small, and the screws came out real easy.

Two fingers, one love.
