throttle slip question 05 ninja 250

When I pull my throttle back to give it gas it doesnt snap back to close after I release, just wondering if its a quick fix for me. Also under my seat on the gas tank itself is a little nozzle that doesn't have anything connected to it so I'm wondering what that is for and if I need a hose on that and what it would connect to if I did, thanks much!

Re: throttle slip question 05 ninja 250

I believe the hose your seeing on the tank is an over flow vent, the other end of the hose doesn't connect to anything. There should be 2 cables on your carburetor, one for acceleration and the other to pull it back, if your somewhat mechanically inclined you could probably fix it pretty easy

The thing is there is no hose at all on that nozzle on the tank. I just bought the bike 2 days ago and I saw this. I'm just curious if it needs a hose on that vent or is it okay if it just has nothing on it? Thanks for the reply!

It probably won't hurt anything without the hose, but I would replace it just in case, better safe then sorry ya know..
