installing LED on the chasis

im installing some LED strips on the chasis of my 250R, my question is where do i hook up the positive and negative strips to produce power to the lights? im obviously new at this so any help i'd appreciate.

I got mine hooked up directly to the battery and I put a switch so u can turn them in whenever u want to. That eat it wouldn't drain the battery. You could to that or find a wiring diagram and see what wire gets power when your bike is running so they can turn on by themselves when you start the bike

well i also have a switch so i may just attempt a direct hookup to the battery like you did and see where it gets me, thanks
