Alright so I'm in the process of finalizing a purchase of a 250r from a guy. The bike looks beautiful. Sounds great. He's got all the maintenance records. It's garage kept. Very clean. All sounds perfect right? But I went down to take a look at it about a week ago and he said something that kind of blew right past me until just about now. When talking to him about the bike he casually mentioned that the 2008 ninja 250 has a gear box designed to go N-1-2-3-4-5-6. INSTEAD of 1-N-2-3-4-5-6. At the time I was like "oh, I've never heard of that before but that's definetly different." And after a little research I've found that NO WHERE does the Internet mention that the 2008 ninja 250r has gears situated like that. IS THIS A RED FLAG?! Or is this a customization which can be done to the bike. OR is he right and were some of these bikes built like this. I've only got a couple days until I go to pick this bike up and I really need your guys help! I don't want to offend this guy if he happens to be telling the truth or if this is just some type of modification. But if this is something serious I've got to know before I spend this much money on the bike. If anyone has information regarding this PLEASE COMMENT BELOW.
