If you are having popping noise, it sounds like you may have some carb or exhaust mods or both.
What is your idle speed?
Do you have pod filters or an airbox?
Do you know your main jet sizes?
How is your bike stored?
Have you ever tried Star Tron Fuel Treatment? - This will help with the E-10 gas and the humid conditions in your area.

Hmm. Sounds like a similar problem I'm having. Do you have to continuously give it throttle to keep it from dying at idle?
