newbe needs help

Just bought a used 2000 ninja 250r. I mean used! Fairings busted up bad. It rides good ,but needs new plastics. Between what years are they interchangeable. I'm not putting a lot of money in it ,but looking for used parts on ebay. Its getting kind of confusing. Ads posted like lower fairing for ninja 250 between 1998 and 2007. and another 2001 and 2003 just an example. Are their only certain parts only that are . Just need parts for the 2000. Just the fairings. Can anybody help please.

Any year from 88-07 will work. There's a guy on ebay from Texas who sells a white, fiberglass upper fairing. I've nearly bought it several times but decided just to fix mine instead. That's what I'd go with if you choose to buy a new one. That'll be the hardest to find anyway.

Yup. They're all the same. An 88's plastics will work on an '07 and everything in between

Thank you! That helps a lot! Its a project bike paid $400. He said, he cleaned the carbs when he bought it. Before he even tried starting it. It would idle with choke on and die when shut off. Played around for awhile and found the problem he never tightened the carb clamps. Guess what a couple turns of a screwdriver. Runs and rides great! ordered brakes, and tires now all I need is some plastics and I'm ready for spring!
