Pricing help!

Hey everyone, im looking to get into the world of sportbikes and have decided on buying a 250 so as not to kill myself! Ha, but im looking at a 1995 250 with 16k's on it, black in color, there are a few minor scratches from being dropped in a parking lot, but other than that it looks cosmetically good. Itll need an oil change and and new antifreeze according to the seller. Oh and it knocks a little when starting cold. The guy is asking 800 for it, and thats with potentially transporting it maybe thirty minutes, as its the middle of winter up here in minnesota! Do you think the $800 dollar asking price is fair?
Thanks a bunch for the quick responses guys!

IMO your getting what your getting for the price The knocking certainly could be a serious problem but i mean its 800 dollars and the miles arent really that high fot the year.

1995 Kawasaki EX250-F9 Ninja 250R Value

  • 2-Cylinders
  • 4-Stroke
  • 250cc

Suggested Retail Value $1250* The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the unit has been fully reconditioned and is in excellent condition. Mileage/condition and additional equipment may have a substantial impact on the value shown above. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the unit's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions.
