Bought wife her first bike...it's a bit of a basketcase

So, for 500$, I bought a 97 250 that has been dropped a bit...the front fairing is borked as is the left side fairing and the rear cowl light assembly.

Was I completely stupid? Was it a waste of 500$? Am I screwed as far as finding a front fairing for this thing?

I have a front fairing from an 07. Same body type. Let me know if you're interested

does it still run? If so, then you made a great choice. You're just going to need to learn how to get it running properly and what not. I'd easily pay $500 for a running bike with a bit of cosmetic damage
