You're perfect for a 250R. My friend had one at 5'5 130lbs and fit fine. I'm 6'7 185lbs and still fit.

I just bought a dan moto slip on exhaust. It sounds mean, it looks good, and it's affordable. $135

Man dude that does look good! Thanks, I'll look at some reviews and see if I like it... I was either thinking about that or the Yoshimura TRC slip on. I don't know if I can justify paying almost $500 for one though... Seems like what you got is much more affordable and also can do the same thing.

Hey GSKid. The Ninja 250r is definitely a fit for you. I am going to assume that since you asked if a 250 was big enough for you, that you are new to motorcycles. I am also going to assume you have read about others saying this bike or that bike is "too small" for them. This is only true if the person in question is unusually tall, unusually large, or both.

I also don't understand your desire for an aftermarket exhaust, especially since you don't even have a bike yet! My advice is don't modify your bike with costly mods until you have a bit of experience. (unless, of course, I am wrong and you are experienced) It will be quite heart wrenching if you do lay your bike down and the pavement decides to snack on your new exhaust. I recommend you get a season of riding under your belt first.

Ride safely!

I've had experience with dirtbikes and I have 3! I just haven't really paid attention to the motorcycle world until a little bit ago. I did get the 2012 Ninja last week and I think I will wait until mid-summer to get an aftermarket exhaust. I won't get one just yet. I do really love the bike though. Very good!

Ok, didn't mean to belittle your experience. I just don't see the need to modify a bike, they are designed very well, especially these. I do see the gain in losing weight, however, and do see the desire to be louder. I purchased my 250 with Cobra F1's on it, and was pleasantly surprised that the previous owner knew nothing about it. It does sound pretty throaty, but also not too loud, as I don't like to wake up or annoy the neighbors, depending on the time. Anyways, have fun, and be safe, always ATGATT.
