Riding After An Accident.

Hi Everyone!
So, I'm a bit nervous as a new rider out there.
Couple of weeks ago when I was doing my licensing, I got hit by a car and suffered a few injuries whilst he drove away.
Is there any of you out there that have gone through the same thing? If so, how did you get back on?

Also, just picked up my new child [2009 K-Ninja 250R Black] and I'm pretty keen to start riding.

Anyways,
Look forward to hearing from everyone.

I was involved in an accident that left me with footdrop on my left ankle . I plan on picking up a 250R in 3 weeks and have the gear shift moved to the right side of the bike.

I installed a louder horn, and that's seemed to have made the difference

I was cut off by a lady making a left turn - says she didn't see me. Result was a low side that left me a little mental.

My response:
* Objective evaluation of what I could have done to avoid the accident altogether.
* More conspicuous clothing - got a hi viz vest
* Read more about street safety. (Hough's Proficient Motorcycling)
* A lot of riding in parking lots to improve braking skills, cornering, throttle control
* Realization that this is much different than driving a car

So now I am a better driver overall and am developing my confidence as a rider.

Hope this helps.
