Next time consider buying NEW

You got a good deal IF and only IF there are no problems with the bike. The only downside to buying used is you don't know if the previous owner was the kind of guy that pulled the bike inside his apartment and took the engine apart a few times a year and now it is either weak or has minor problems that can be more of a headache than its worth. I just bought a brand new 2012 Ninja 250R for $5000 out the door. I paid $3000 more than you did but I have the guarantee that there has never been any kind of problems with it. I'm sure a lot more people will agree with me, buying used is really sketchy because you never know how the bike was kept and what kind of problems it had that someone might have tried to fix on their own that might come back to bite you in the butt down the road. A motorcycle is the one machine that minor problems could cost you your life, I'd rather pay an extra 3 grand to save my life...just a thought.

I'd rather buy used for $3,000 less and get a good mechanic to check it for $20-$40. If something's wrong, it's not gonna cost me $3,000 to fix lol.

I'm just poking fun at you. Honestly, the best thing to do whether buying new or used is take a mechanic with you when you're buying or looking at a bike. An experienced mechanic can tell what a bike's been through and how much it has left. I brought one with me and he test drove the bike to make sure everything seemed ok. I trusted his judgement and my '07 that I bought in November has been sweet!
