Hi, I found a 2006 Ninja 250R for $800. 2900 miles, been sitting for 2 years. In great condition.
I'll have to clean the tank, carbs and do a carb sync. I suppose I should check the valves at that time.
I have a number of motorcycles. I've owned some sort of motorcycle and been riding since 1971.
I'm into off road riding using one of my KX500's. I do Iron Butt Association (I.B.A.) rides and that's what I bought the Ninja for. I plan on doing a few extreme rides with it. Doing a Bun Burner Gold (BBG), 1500 miles in less than 24 hours on a 250 gets a person into the "Not Right Riders" group.
My last ride was an In-City Insanity Saddle Sore 1000. I did 1000 miles in less than 24 hours and never left Okc. I use my 1995 Kawasaki Voyager for that one. Here's a link if someone wants to check out the I.B.A.
Iron Butt Association
The red ink on the map picture are detours I had to make during different traffic problems.
I hope to learn a little about the little Ninja here and maybe add a little info as I go.
I will add an auxiliary fuel cell of some sort. I need a 350 mile range to make the BBG in the allotted time.
If there are any Oklahoma members, drop me a personal message.
Once I get the bike on the road we can catch a ride together.
Thanks in advance for any help provided.
