09 Ninja 250R
The forum said that I should stop by here and say hello. I've only been riding since March of this year and I've been on the 250 the whole season. Power aside, I really do like the bike but I've been considering a second one (cruiser perhaps) for any trips I might take next year.
I do plan on keeping the 250 around though. I overall do enjoy it even though it has to try so hard on the highway.
I'm planning on doing some work to it this winter, but we'll see how it all works out. General outline below. Like I said, I'm still new so I don't know all of the in's and out's yet. If you have any suggestions, I'm open to ideas or criticisms.
1: Relocate exhaust if I can find a spot. (I know a guy with a welder and grinder.)
2: Replace Airbox with pod filter. (Thinking K&N R-0990.)
3: Carb Clean & Recalibration. (Thinking FactoryPro Stage 3 / Config 30 Carburetor Recalibration Kit) *Very unsure. No idea where to start with carb work, but I'll research before i just jump in.
4: New Shift Spring. (Thinking FactoryPro Blue Magic Shift Spring.)
5: Bedliner on clutch cover and oil cover. (Why not?)
6: Mirror Risers. (Holy hard to see on this thing..)
7: Paint plastics. (Not 100% sure yet, but it's possible.)
