New Rider from New Hampshire

Hey everyone, I just picked up my first streetbike. Its a 2008 Ninja 250R. I have been searching for 3 months for the right deal and finally found one, I picked this bike up for only $2200 and drove 4 and a half hours for it. The bike is in pretty good condition, has a clean title and has 5100 miles on it. It has some slight scuffs on the side from being drop, but I buffed most of them out today. Bike runs great also changed the oil today as well as the filter. I just had a couple questions, is there anything else I should change or check on? I haven't been able to really ride it yet due to rain, but tomorrow the weather looks like its gonna be decent so I would like to get out for a spin. Any tips or hints? easy mods to know to make things better? I got this bike to use as a commuter and to take cruises to the beach. Thanks.

Sweet looking bike! Looks brand new and you got a steal for the price

one thing you should definitely check is tire pressure. If the bike's been sitting for a few months then you may want to get the carbs cleaned or at least have them checked out.

The two main mods most people do to this generation 250 are to eliminate the fender and change the front turn signals. Both have already been done on your bike. I love the way it currently looks, btw. You could also look at changing/tinting the windscreen. There are aftermarket shields that may block wind better.

Thanks man, yea I have checked the the tire pressure and everything, and I took it out for a spin did 30 miles and everything ran good, I'm gonna change the air filter and clean the carbs this weekend. It's not an actual fender eliminator it's the stock one that the po cut, it looks good they did a good a job.
