New rider checking in...

Hello, just introducing myself. I'm a new rider and joined this forum in hopes of learning and finding answers to most questions I may have in the future. I also wish to share in the camaraderie of riding itself. I just bought a 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250R with 2500 miles. I've taken the CMSP (California Motorcycle Safety Class) formerly known as the MSF class. I also bought full leather gear with CE rated protection and a HI VIZ helmet that's DOT and SNELL rated. I'm all about riding safe! My older brother used to ride sport bikes years ago and I'm joining the game a little late as I'm in my 30's and have a family of my own. I've got around 200 miles under my belt so far.
First thing I'm going to have to do is replace my tires as they are stock and just reached 6 years old, which to my understanding is when you should replace them. I'm thinking Pirelli Sport Demons are the tires for me. If anyone has any advice on this or any subject feel free to chime in. I've included a few pics of my bike with my buddy's Triumph. Cheers!

Welcome, here are just a few things to think about,

1.Get trained and licensed MSF Courses

2.ALWAYS Wear protective gear -- ATGATT All The Gear, All The Time -- including a helmet manufactured to the standards set by a government agency.

3.ALWAYS Ride unimpaired by alcohol or other drugs

4.ALWAYS Ride within your own skill limits

5.Be a lifelong learner by taking refresher rider courses, and advanced rider course A.R.C.

I'm not your mom and I'm not paying for your parts, so do whatever you want with your own bike.
