New from North Dakota

Hello all, just picked up a 2009 250R green/white/black from my boss here in Grand Forks, North Dakota. It has 3040 miles on it and seems to run great. It's had one of the fairings repainted in the past and it doesn't match exactly, but it doesn't bother me. Otherwise, the bike is in great condition.

I just started riding last month, when I took the MSF BRC. I figured I'm not getting any younger and I've always wanted to ride so I said screw it - I'm doing it. I rode the bike home just this past Thursday, which was the first time on public roads for me. Prior to that, I had ridden it 40 miles within our large fenced in storage area. It was a bit alarming for me to see/hear the engine rapped out to 8000+ rpm while cruising on the highway. That's going to take some getting used to but I'll probably just ride this bike around town most of the time anyway.

I look forward to hanging out on here!

Welcome, here are just a few things to think about,

1.Get trained and licensed MSF Courses

2.ALWAYS Wear protective gear -- ATGATT All The Gear, All The Time -- including a helmet manufactured to the standards set by a government agency.

3.ALWAYS Ride unimpaired by alcohol or other drugs

4.ALWAYS Ride within your own skill limits

5.Be a lifelong learner by taking refresher rider courses, and advanced rider course A.R.C

I'm not your mom and I'm not paying for your parts, so do whatever you want with your own bike.

Thanks for the info, Ghostt. I took the BRC before starting to ride just a couple months ago but plan to eventually take the advanced course after getting some experience.
