Good Morning! I joined because I was having a problem with my 2010 250 surging at all speeds, when decelerating, etc. But upon looking at my chain this weekend....Saw 10 1/2 rollers missing at various locations. New chain solved it. the old one was a 6 Month old Volar chain....STAY AWAY!

Welcome, glad to hear you caught the chain problem before it was a complete fail! Bad things can happen if the chain snaps. Very important part, good idea to use a top notch replacement!

Yeah Volars are the absolute worst. If there's anything you should actually spend good money on, let it be the chain. I'm all about saving an extra buck (how I was suckered into a Volar to begin with), but I was so freaked out by the Volar messing up, I bought a $90 RK racing chain (with outstanding reviews on Amazon) and have had zero problems. Also remember to replace the sprockets with brand new ones any time you replace the chain.
