2011 250r clunky shifting

My first street bike and I find the shifting really clunky going up and down about 75% of the time. I have ridden dirt bikes alot growing up and never noticed this problem.

Just wanted to know if this is a common thing with this tranny as after the shift things are smooth accelerating just raelly seems to switch hard?

thanks for any info

Mine does the same dude, I think it.might just be the tranny, although I've never really found out why myself.

What kind of milage do you have?
I was experiencing the same clunkiness, i poured in 1-2/8th of a cup of seafoam in the crankcase, and made a huge difference. Change your oil after you ran it for a days riding.
