HELP!!!FINALLY after two years-back on road in August!

I stayed away from all forums because it was just too painful of a reminder that I was not riding for awhile. Now that I will be in August, I'm BACK!!!

Amazingly enough, the bike still starts. (2008 Red ninjette) It has not officially been ridden since last year. The only thing I did was put fuel stabilizer and started it once in a while and let it run. I didn't start it when it was below 30 because I did not want to run a cold bone dry engine. It boggled in the beginning and stayed on choke for a few min. and was ok.

This is what I will do to the bike:
If there are question marks next too it means : should I do it?
Reminder, the bike starts up every time

Oil change
Spark Plug(s) ?
14T to a 15T front sprocket?
K&N Air filter
Clean Carb?
Check Air tires-what is the tire pressure suppose to be I forgot..?

Here are the cosmetics which WILL be done:

Hot bodies fender eliminator kit-So freaking hot! Expensive but worth it!
Reflective Rim tape
Seat Cowl (just for beefy reasons) I use the Rapid Transit Tank Bag-love it!
Tank Pad
Spray Paint windshield black on inside ?

Is ther anything I should be doing or missed?

Please any input would be very helpful.

Hi, glad to see you starting to ride the ninja again this season!

I'm new here ( i was google-ing hotbodies fender eliminator 250r and found this site)

Did you install this hotbodies fender eliminator kit yet?
I was just wonder how was the install and do it work with the seat cowl.
I heard stories, certain FE kit don't work with the solo seat cowl.

Just wanna make sure before I order mine.

In case any confusion, this is the one I'm talking about:

as for your cosm mods, i like them all except the painting the windshield black inside idea. Maybe buy a smoked one instead? just my opinion.

Yes that is the exact one I just got in the mail. After reading a few forums on installation and the instruction clearly states to have a mechanic install I became a little discouraged about trying to install it on my own.

But since I have until August. I might just do this on my own. So if when when I do, I will get back to you on this.

I think I'm going to take your advise about the windsheild. Any ideas on where is a good place to buy?

Thanks!

Seat cowl

I lost my bid on Ebay while watching XMEN in the threater! So I must look for another cowl. I think It is no issue with that fender eliminator.

I'm not sure how the stock signal lights gonna fit...
