What did you use to jack up your bike? do you have a front stand or did you make shift one, I saw some one do it once on here which looked good.. Do people really say it like that -see attachment-

I always thought the 08-12's had a rear stand as well as a kickstand. Rear stands make maintenance a breeze. The 88-07's have both

you can buy either a wheel chock($25) or a front or rear stand ($50) for fairly cheap from Harbor Freight. I've been thinking about getting a front stand

it's better to work on your bike when it's sitting straight rather than leaned over, however you can change the oil with it leaned over. Just make sure you get all of the oil out

Did mine on the side stand; let it drain for about 15 minutes and held it straight up for a few minutes to get a little more out of it. I went ahead and put all 2 qts in it...small bubble at the top of the sight. Definitely noticed the difference on start-up since this was my first oil change @ 600 miles; oil light goes out almost immediately.

Yeah no rear stand on the 2008. Yeah I think I noticed a way the engine sounded with the fresh new oil. Maybe its in my mind...has anyone ever changed the coolant or brake fluid???
