Threaded rod, chain adjustment rod.

So I had my chain adjusted Saturday since there was alot of play in it. When I got home today I come to find that the left side chain adjustment rod is bent and barely hanging on

The axle is still tight but I was wondering is the adjuster a safety issue with that not being on?

Figured it out and it is very bad to ride without it. Ordered the part and fixing it next week!
