New and very confused 2005 ninja

Ok, so I just got a 2005 ninja in real nice shape and adult owned. But I need to get to the carbs as it acts like it has a clogged low speed jet. Bike runs great above 3500 rpm by the way

So I go on line and find a service manual. Itís got to be the right one because it talks about carbs not DFI.

But itís like itís a different bike! My bike has a 2 into 2 chrome exhaust while it clearly showed a 2 into 1. But more important is that it says to remove the battery, remove the battery box, and slide the air box back. It also showed replacing the air filter from the side. So hereís the real big problem... my battery box is one piece with rage air box. There is no way to remove the battery box by its self. Which means there is no way to get room to get the carbs out.

So before I take apart the whole rear end to move the air box, I figured Iíd ask because I canít have the only bike that has a one piece battery box and air box

Help!

Did you ever get this sorted out? I have a 2010. I just pulled the carbs yesterday. It was tight. The airbox would not move back much. A little. It was a tight squeeze to get the carbs out. I am re-jetting.
