2006 Ninja won't start on its own and dies commonly.
Hey, I'm pretty new to the whole motorcycle world, and so while this issue may be a simple fix for some, I am not capable of this yet. I purchased a 2006 Ninja 250 that had been sitting and wasn't running at the time, I pulled it apart and cleaned everything and have gotten it to the point where it will partially run. It does still have some issues though, and any insight would be welcome. First of all, it won't start without starter fluid, unless it has been ridden very recently (within about 5 mins, and sometimes not even then), then even after I get it started I cannot let off the clutch or the throttle since if I left off the clutch it dies immediately, and if I let off the throttle it revs down until it dies. I'm thinking the clutch issue has something to do with the bike not knowing it's in neutral(my neutral light no longer comes on even when I know it to be in neutral). As for the rest of it I don't really know, any insight into this would be greatly appreciated. Also it idles at around 4K rpm, which seems much too high.
