Ninja 250 Oil Leak (Minimal)

I changed my oil about a month ago and i have around 800 miles on the current change and i realized about a week ago that when i start my bike, it leaks oil from the oil filter for about 2 secs (2-3 tablespoons of oil) and then it doesn't leak anymore after that. I know this because i've tested it idling and riding in a parking lot to see if i can get any leaks down the road i go on for 20 min each. It leaks through the O-Ring on the oil filter btw. Recommendations? P.s. i have a: Ninja 250 2010

New O-rings will fix that there's two, also don't forget about the brass washer on the drain plug.

I suggest buying a few of each to have them on hand, as I have done I purchased 10 each so I'm set for awhile.

A.T.G.A.T.T so I may ride another day. www.rockthegear.org

I'm not your mom and I'm not paying for your parts, so do whatever you want with your own bike.

I agree with Ghostt. Change the O rings. Depending on what filters you buy they may come all together? One fits on the bolt (small). The other (large) fits on the base plate. The large one tends to not lay flat. When you tighten everything it may not seal properly. Sometimes I use a little white lithium grease as glue to hold it in the groove while tightening. Alternatively you can put it inbetween to books prior to using it to make it stay flat.
