Dropped my helmet today....yikes.

Well despite my caution it finally happened..I dropped my Shoei RF-1100 on the ground.

I had it hanging on the right clip-on with the bike on the sidestand..I bumped into it with my back pack and sent it crashing to the ground...put a small scuff on the chin bar and a small ding on the top. Of course this was on a concrete parking lot.

At least my head wasn't in it!

I hope it works out like my ritual with a new mx helmet....I havew always taken my new mx helmets and dropped them on the ground on purpose at the first track I ride with it...so far it has kept me from landing on my head at the track. I got that trick from a few pros I met back in the early 90's.

Anyone else follow that ritual of putting the first scratch on their helmet on purpose?
