Unhappy Fender Eliminators

I just received my fender eliminator and I'm kinndda disappointed :noon2

I thought it would be as easy as removing the old one and installing the new one but NOOOO!!!!! It turns out I need to cut off part of the original fender in order to install the new one. What do you guys think?!? Or was I asking for too much......

yeah alot of fender eliminators you need to cut the stock fender. I considered doing it to my bike but then i just sucked it up because it seemed like a PITA Job. but good luck to ya mate.

Thanks, Im gonna do it anyways since I already bought the kit. I already installed the proton flushed turn signals, an MGP growler exhaust and the tail light with integrated turn signals, just need to do the fender thing.

I just ordered this online, and I am saving myself the trouble. I have been off the road for two years so I will just have my shop guy do all the work until I get a Stand. He will do a 14T to a 15T in the front sprocket, a K&N filter, oil change and the fender eliminator. I am glad I was not in a rush and found this one. I have the red 2008 ninja, however the one in the pic is from Hot Bodies page...However I will do the spray painted black windshield.

I can't wait too see how it's all going to look!

Fender Eliminator

My shop guy says Hot Bodies are junk and won't put one on my bike so I am looking into a few others. I am having him order and put one on for me when I bring it in for my spring tune up and oil change. Plus I just can't bring myself to cutting the original fender myself. They do it all the time and I don't want it to look like a chop job.

If you can find something better quality than Hotbodies, go for it. Not that it`s junk, but it is not as simple to put on as the instructions it comes with. (The pictures are very low quality and first it wasn`t all that clear how much of the stock plastic needed to be cut away.) I made it work on both my 6R and 250, but there must be something with better fit out there. Check out Puigusa.com, maybe they have something. Their stuff is top quality.
