Question Gear Indicator

Hello,

I'm new to join this forum so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong place or if there is already a thread for this. I just recently bought my first bike which is a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250R. I've grown to know when to shift by listening and watching/feeling but i believe the previous owner had managed to break the shift paddle. Sometimes i dont feel when i shift because of the combination of that and depending on what shoes im wearing. I was wondering if there was a gear indicator i could get installed just to be safe and make sure I don't stall or anything on main streets.

I like this one... anyone have any tips or past experience will help and is much appreciated! Thanks!

I looked into this myself when I first for my bike But I never got confirmation if it was gonna work for the 250 or not so I never got it.. After a while, you get used to your bike and kinda just start knowing what gear you're in at the moment. It's weird but I can tell lol maybe I count on my mind without knowing or something.

after about a year and a half of riding, I still find myself trying to shift into an imaginary 7th gear

Let us know if it works for you. I would get it if I knew it would work on our bikes

Best way I can tell what gear I'm in is by reading the tach and speed. If I'm in 6th gear my tach reads 7k my speed is 60mph.

Sorry guys contrary to the indicator saying it would work on any bike I contacted the seller and it does NOT work with the Ninjas.

Ronnrs: What exactly do you read on your tach for lower gears?

I just saw a you tube video with an indicator installed like the one you had purchased.. Did the seller mention why it would not work with the ninja 250?
