Exhaust hanger mod

I finally decided to shave/cut-off the footpeg mount on the exhaust hanger. I used a dremel then a grinder and finally a file. Painted it with flat black paint. Paint did not match the frame. I'm going to try satin black tomorrow and see if that gets it a little bit closer.

Cool. Good job on that.

I tend to find the Krylon Camo paint in ultra flat black to be very close to the frame color, if not exact. Buy a can and check it out.

That flat black you got right now doesn't look that bad. I say stick with a flat black rather than satin.

The paint I used is Rust Oleum Ultra Flat Black. I tried the satin black on a test piece and it came out too shiny. I'll just leave it as it is for now.

If you go to a local powdercoater and ask when they are going to run a flat black with about 10% gloss ( it is what I use on my hangers) ask to go take a look at the results. maybe they will throw it in with a batch of parts they are doing and not charge you the total run price.
