Tinting your windshield

Tinting your windshield takes 30 mins and costs less than $10. You know what's even better! You can remove it in minutes if you'd like. It'll stay on as long as you'd like, but simply peels away in the case that you'd no longer want it to be tinted.

**Pick up a can of Plasti Dip. You can find it on Amazon or select hardware stores. It's like spray paint, but peels off if you want to. It's the same rubbery material tools are dipped in. Think the handles on your pliers and what not.

Step 1 - Remove windshield. There are four hex screws on the front of the bike. Take those out and firmly pull the windshield up until it slides out.

Step 2 - Clean both sides of the windshield well.

Step 3 - Mask off out rim on the back of the windshield if you'd like. Nobody will see it if you don't.

Step 4 - Spray the BACK of the windshield with 2-3 light/even coats from about a foot away. You don't have to have a solid black look after your first coat, it'll fill in. Trust me, I'm a doctor.

Step 5 - Admire and re-install.

btw: when you tint it, are you still able to see through it? I'd assume no..

If you actually have it 'tinted' sure, but this process simply blacks it out and leaves no room for light to come through.

yeah that's all I was asking about was this process. Not really a big deal, but I was just wondering. It does look really cool.

It's called Plasti Dip. You can order it on Amazon and select hardware stores. My local Home Depot carries it, but some others don't. The best part about Plasti Dip is that it's completely reversible. It won't peel off if you don't want it to, but if/when you decide to take it off simply peel away.
