How much is a jet kit ?

How much is it to buy & have someone install a jet ket for a Ninja 250R 2008? just curious, about to buy my first bike soon, and as I do wanna start off on the 250cc, but I do always wanna have the option to make my current 250cc faster, how much would it be?

and is it an easy install if u do it yourself? Sorry, again, i take the MSF Course next week.

Thanks?

Depends on how good of a mechanic you are now if you want to do it yourself. If you have experience with carburetor then it shouldn't be too hard. If you don't have any experience, it will be incredibly difficult for a first timer. Jet kits aren't that expensive. Do your research and buy the kit yourself and then take it to a shop. A small shop would cost less and probably do a better job than your local dealer.

Approximately 2 hours labor + parts + shop supplies + taxes. My stage 2 dynojet kit was $66.95. So around $300 bucks give or take what your mechanic's hourly rate is?

If you do it yourself replace the Philips head bowl screws with Allen head.it'll keep you from rounding them off when doing carb work in the future.
