What's your next bike?

I don't know about you guys, but I bought my Ninja 250 as a stepping stone to something bigger and faster. Right now I think I have my eyes set on a Ninja 650 or maybe a SV650. Are those common bikes people trade their 250's for?

I just rode a gixxer 600 and I'm in love with the power of that bike. OMG...it feels like a rocket compared to our little 250's. I was kinda scared to ride it at first but i learned to adapt. I think i want one of those! Now i just need to save up some cashola...

Yeah, one day I'll graduate to a big bike like a gixxer or something. Right now I'm pretty happy with the Ninja 250's power. I think I'd be scared to ride a bigger bike right now! haha.

After 15 months of canyon and track riding the 250 I added a zx6r to the arsenal. Last month I added a KLX. I keep adding bikes but can't seem to part with them.

Cool! What year is your ZX6 and KLX? And how do they compare to the Ninja 250? The KLX must be completely different.

And have you found the Ninja 250 to be a good first bike before hopping on the ZX6? It must be pretty hairy riding the 250 around on the track I bet.

^they are both '09. The KLX is to get my dirt road and trail riding fix. The ninja 250 is hands down the best bike to start with if you're serious about learning how to ride. Ride the pants off that little bike. They are much more forgiving, flickable and can carry more corner speed. Once you can kick ass on the 250 you'll be ready to upgrade

Cool...I've always wanted to try dirt riding. I've only ridden on the street. So were you able to adapt to the power difference between the ninja 250 and zx6 pretty easily?

My ego convinced me that a Triumph Daytona 675 was a good bike to start out on. I test rode one after finishing my BRC. My ego was drowned out by mine and my wife's (and brand new daughter's) common sense. Too much bike, too little confidence as a new rider. I did my research and I am very happy and comfortable on my 08 250r. The Daytona is something I look forward to working my way up to in terms of experience and skill. (Oh and I paid for my 250r in full with what would have only been a down payment on the Triumph)
