just picked up a new project

Picked this up today. 2000 ex250 with a little under 20k on the clock.
Previous owner said the motor has low compression 125/115.
Motor cranks over but wont start.
Fork seals are leaking.
Paint is rough but all the plastics are there.
Aftermarket header but no muffler.
Tires are new-ish.
Apparently the 20k service was done, but I dont see any evidence of it.
In any case I picked up the bike plus a spare motor (needs piston rings) and radiator for $1000

Also looking for opinions of what to do with the build. Sweet cafe/tracker project?? or Restore back to shiny stock form and see if I can make a couple bucks?

very educational content and written well for a change. It's nice to see that some people still understand how to write a quality post.
