Question GoPro Issues?

Any had any issues with their GoPro Hero Black Edition? I purchased one for my BF for his birthday in April, but he only got to try it out briefly at that point in time so it's been on the shelf since then. This week we are visiting friends in TN and taking a few rips on the Dragon. After 4 trips it quit working and was frozen as it wouldn't turn on. Read a bit and watch a youtube video on how to get it started back up again, and it did turn back on. But now it is reading that the SD card can only record 1min 10sec of video, which is not right since it's a 64gb card and should be able to hold 4 hours worth of video! Thoughts/comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I've heard dealing with GoPro hasn't been the best experience for some individuals and I want to make sure we have tried everything before contacting them for a new unit since it has a year warranty. I think we should contact and replace it regardless, but the BF wants to try to fix it so we don't have to deal with GoPro

If you are not using one of the recommended brands and Class ratings of SD cards you WILL have problems. (Class 10 is best, and UHS (Ultra High Speed) is better as well. )

It sounds like the SD card is damaged or not compatible with your bf's camera.

I have come to terms with the possibility of dying while riding, life has a 100% death rate. I would rather live having fun and end up dead in a motorcycle crash than never do anything fun because it's dangerous and I might get killed. No one makes it out alive anyway. - From a friend on another forum, used with his permission.
