Curious as to how many people actually got the bike for MSRP. I went to the dealer today to get one and just could not bring my self to pay $1000 more than MSRP.

No way. I'd rather find a lightly used one. A lot of people buy them new and very soon feel like they've outgrown them, so they sell and look for something bigger. That's just good opportunity to get one in great condition at a great price

edgary is totally right. I went to the dealer here in ILlinois, and they told me it would be around 5400 with taxes and all that stuff...so i was like ehhh... well i was ready to afford that but went to craigslist and found a blue one in wisconsin for $3000 with 2200 miles on it. I didnt wait long, went and bough it...been a happy owner since
Look for a used one...after all its the same bike but for much less.

I did pay MSRP for mine. Between tax, tags, title, and the first service I payed right at five grand for mine. It was nice to know that my bike was never monkied around with, and its nice to own something new, but I am looking to upgrade to a used ZX6R.

I've got a different dealer to agree to MSRP. So hopefully soon. Thanks for the info.

hurry up and get one so we can ride, obie. It is refreshing to see someone on here that is geographically close(ish) to me. i had to inform the folks here that virginia was, in fact, a state.

Finally got the bike today.. I got the 2010 limited edition green. Now that I have the bike I have to wait until March for the MRT course in March.
