ok so first off i just wont to say no im not completly insane. now that thats out of the way wahts going on guys and gals im currently in the market for a 250r but unfortantly i dont have the 5000 to slap down on a 4th gen and most of the used bikes im finding in my market are in deed 3rd gen bikes i wos just wondering sincs i do love the boddy work of the 4th gen if any one has yet to try a complete plastics swap and if so how hard is it but im assuming that the mounting poinst are completly diffrent so it would have to be a complete fab job and my second thing is is how hard is it to throw a gsxr can on a 3rd gen???

You'll probably have to fabricate a lot of things to make the bodywork fits. Not only the mounting points, but the dimensions are also different. The front cowl was designed to fit with different light housing. Then again, nothing is impossible.
