I would check out the flasher. Even if the flasher is good, you can use the flasher's socket for diagnostic purposes. The socket can tell you if you are getting power from the switch. If you use a 12v jump lead, you can also verify that the lamps are working. Be sure to check out a wiring diagram before you apply power to anything. Also, check out this link involving another feller who had flasher trouble. http://www.250r.net/forum/showthread.php?t=506&highlight=flasher

Thank you Kenny for your advise. I don't know much about working on bikes and all it is my 1st one. I will look in my owners book to see if it will show me where the flashers are on my bike. The tool I need is a flasher socket or is that the name of the part if bad I need to replace possible?

The socket is the part that the flasher plugs into. It is a great place to start. Using it, you can determine what part of the circuit is at fault. It may even be the flasher itself. You may need a service manual or a 12 pack to rent a buddy that is handy with this sort of thing.

There is a separate flasher for the turn signals. It's just hard to find when it's not making noise. It could also be the turn signal switch. Check you brake lights while the turn signal switch is on. If they both work, it's probably a bad switch. If one of them goes out when you use the turn signals, it's probably the flasher.

I would strongly suggest that you check the wiring connections to the left clip on where the turn signal switch is located. I suspect that you dropped your bike on the left side/clutch lever side and in that event disturbed the harness and or connections leading to it..

It maybe as simple as a connector or a wire pulled from the plug...

Check this stuff out thoroughly...
