Hey i recently got a new ninja 250 and as i read the manual it stated that the shift points should be the following

Gear..............Speed
1.................. 20km/h
2.................. 25km/h
3.................. 30km/h
4.................. 35km/h
5.................. 40km/h
6.................. 45km/h

Now im no expert but im pretty sure that thats not right, the only logical explanation i could think of is that the speed is cumulative. I was wondering if someone could verify this for me, and if i am wrong correct me as i am quite confused about the matter

For the first 500 miles or so shift a lot and use all the gears. Try not to go over 40-45 miles per hour. And try not to rest at a certain rpm. Always vary. After that 500 mile period a gear is good for 10-15 mile per hour increments for easy riding.

I also heard that after the break in time, its at its beast at 7-8 rpm range in each gear-this bike has great mid range
