I haven't changed mine yet, but removed it to check on the plugs. You do not need to remove the tank, just the side fairings to get to each one. I'll try to get some pix when I get home.

I was looking at the owners manual and it says to change it at 7500 mi. Sure glad I don't have to take off the tank. I hit 7500 yesterday, so I need to look for plugs today. What brand was the spark plugs? NGK CR8E or ND U24ESR-N.

I typically go with NGK.

I took pix of the sides so I can just circle it when I get home.

Okay, here are the pix as promised. The left side is pretty much straight forward, you just need to get the spark plug socket in there and remove it. The right side is a bit more tricky since it's behind the coolant reservoir, so you just need to remove the mounting bolt for the reservoir to get to it.

Thanks! I took off the fairings but still have not replaced the plugs. I was wondering how to take off the right side plug until I saw your pic/instruc.

Now I have a new problem, the clamp (green arrow) is not tight enough to seal the hose, the screw slips when I try to tighten it. So now I have to buy a new clamp.:mad2 I guess it was like that for a long time cuz there are dried water marks on the engine, freakin factory!
