Just picked up my first bike. It's a 2004 ninja 250r with 2,300 miles. Guy would use it in the summer once a week for like 5 miles and then let it sit all winter with fuel in the carb :ohcrap i work on older classic cars and know that this isn't good. Anyway i picked the bike up for $850 bucks and it had a dead battery but me and the owner jumped it. The bike idles really low (at around 900-1000rpm and struggles a little bit)and only does so on FULL choke. The bike obviously runs really lean and the carbs need some work. I already took the bike apart to get to the carbs, can somebody guide me to a detailed instruction on cleaning and give me any other tips. BTW tires are nice and new and brakes seem fine.

Thanks DaBlue1, that link on cleaning carbs was very informative. I'm new to motorcycling and I'm trying to learn as much as I can to maintain my bike myself. Do you have any links on how to properly winterize the 2009 ninja 250r?
