On average, how many gallons does your 250R take per fill up?

At the last little line before "E" its took me like 3.8 or something like that but I usually fill it half a tank and even then it takes 2.2

James, just go until you run out, then use the reserve switch.

Provided there is one like the old model. Then you'll know for certain.

Or check your owner's manual.

There's no reserve switch for the 08! LOL I know the standard is 4.8gal for most sportbikes, 4.5gal for the R6. But, how much can you actually fill up, hence the title "fuel tank actual capacity" ;) To be honest, I've never hit 4 gallons on any of my bikes. :dunno

I'll know the exact amount when I ship my bike to my base. While shipping bikes you must drain it of all oil and fuel.

With an entirely empty tank, 4.8 gallons. You haven't gone entirely empty yet, so until you do you'll never fill up that much. Common sense. Get some! :ohyaaa

That is if you stand the bike straight up, fill up the entire tank all the way up to the top where gas is about to spill out, then it will be 4.8gal. I doubt that you've ever done that. On top of that, the gauge will typically reach empty with some fuel still in the tank just so you don't really run out of gas. Even if it's compeletely gone, there are still in some in the tube through the fuel fiter that may account for a few fluid oz, if you want to really be technical about things. :rolleyes2 I'm curious to see approximately how much gas is left when the gauge hits E, comparing it with other owners.
