Well I was doing some research on all the exhaust companies that make full systems for the 2008, and it seems to me that only 1 really stands out.... Two Brothers.... Not only does it look good but it preforms good too at a peak of 31HP beats all the rest by at least 1hp other 2hp. Though it does not list the price of the full exhaust system or the peak torque, it is ideal for anyone who wants the most out of their 2008 250R. Add this bad boy with all the other possible upgrade (i.e. Shimming needles, Raising needles, removing snorkel, performance air filter, and Jetting) and you might get close to 40hp on your little 250.

Although I heard AreaP has GREAT customer service and allows you to fully customize your exhaust... so thats a plus.

I will Never EVER buy HR1 exhaust. EVER.....Now if we could get that group buy deal with 2 bros then I would be interested.

as i have read in other forums, Area P can change up your can to your specs. If you want a longer can or shorter, your choice of end cap and finish. so thats real plus when it comes to custom work. And i dont think they charge anything extra when you customize.

2 bro's is a good looking can, but i dont like how the pipe doesnt have an aestetic design flow from the can. at least put the heat shield back on.

Try emailing the company ask for the dyno charts and a sound clip. I have gotten a response back from every company I have ever emailed about the 250. Even Akropovic, and they dont even speak english! (They say they are focusing on larger CC bikes, so no exhaust for the 250)

My 250 is turning into my track bike so thats why I personally care about performance. That is pretty much the reason why one would get an exhaust system.

A full exhaust system for our bikes add 5HP. When we only have 25HP to begin with a 20% power increase is quite a bit. I don't know how much you know about bikes, but there is a big difference specially when shimming the needles, removing the snorkel, adding performance air filter, and adding a light weight chain and sprockets.

How much hp do you get with just a slip on? But if you're serious about riding fast, a good place to start is the rider, so a track school is a great investment. I've seen plenty of people kick ass on under-powered by. :scooter

Yeah when you get a full system, it's pretty much mandatory that you need to rejet your carb to give it appropropriate mixture if you want max hp out of it. Horse power is over rated. :ohno

I don't think there's a 4-stroke 250 NSR, but a 2-stroke 250 NSR is an equivalence of a 4-stroke 500cc bike :scooter

I know enough about bikes to know that if I wanted to go fast, I would not have bought a 250. I'm all about increasing the rideability of the bike...so shimming the needles and removing the snorkel are a given, but only to smooth out the powerband and improve the throttle response, not necessarily to gain HP.

agree! the best in performance is no restriction, no pipes, and no reversion.

so how do the three systems talked about compair? the two brothers the Area P and the fmf which pipe will give off best sound and best ride for best pirce and wont be super dificult to install
